What is FTC?
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a global robotics program where students design, build, and program robots to compete in challenges. It’s all about teamwork, creativity, and learning STEM skills while solving real-world problems!
Roles
- Builder: Design and build the robot. (We especially need more builders!)
- Driver: Operate the robot during competitions. (Drivers wanted!)
- Designer: Create 3D models and team materials.
- Fundraiser: Handle sponsorships and finances.
- Outreach Lead: Organize events and connect with the community.
- Programmer: Code the robot’s moves.
What’s Expected
- Attend meetings and competitions regularly.
- Be respectful, organized, and follow safety rules.
- Contribute to your role and support the team.
Schedule
- Summer (June–Aug): Learn skills, recruit, and prototype.
- Fall (Sept–Oct): Build, practice, and finalize the team.
- Winter (Oct–May): Compete in qualifiers and championships.
- Spring (Post-Season): Wrap up and prep for the next year.
Entry Fee
$600/season (financial assistance is available).
